Wriothesley was a feared captain in the fontain region. He and his pirate crew sailed the seas on Meropide, their gallion. That was until they were attacked, and a single man was lost, their captain.

In the sleepless city of Fontaine, Wriothesley works long hours to keep the Fortress of Meropide running, scraping by to give his young daughter, Sigewinne, the gentlest life he can manage. Between late-night baths, lavender-scented shampoo, and bunny-print pajamas, he's built a quiet world for her-one far removed from the grandeur of the Palais Mermonia above. So when an urgent summons from the Chief Justice disrupts their bedtime, Wriothesley is forced to bring Sigewinne into the halls of power-and straight into the path of Neuvillette himself. Distant, refined, and unknowable, Neuvillette has always seemed more storm than man. But when one sleepy child with pink-highlighted hair and zero filter decides he's perfect "second dad" material, the carefully drawn lines between duty and heart begin to blur. As rain falls over Fontaine, two strangers begin to unravel the distance between them-one awkward meeting at a time.

A modern AU Wriolette fan fiction. After the SBP was murdered, undercover Police officer Wriothesley has to find out who did it, but the tale unfolds into some super complicated situations. As Wriothesley and his professor Neuvillette collaborate on the case, feelings develop (slowly) I'll update the desc. as this goes on so there aren't spoilers. Slowly, he looked up at the guard, then down to the handcuffs in his hand, and a knowing smirk tugged at the corner of his lips. Neuvillette, here?

What was the meaning of this message? It had something related to another universe, but the fact that only one could be happy was something frustrating. Neuvillette, Chief Justice of Fontaine, had recognized Wriothesley and realized his crimes, sentencing him to 10 years in prison. Wriothesley, disgusted by the situation, searches for a plan to regain his position as the Lord of the Fortress of Meropide.
