I started writing an I guess fanfic about Ruby and her tragic life after everything. This story is before the Darkest Legacy after Into the Afterlight. This is how Ruby deals with everything. I never quite understood death, not even when over half of my class died from IAAN, and most adults began to hold us at arms length. But when my brother died, death had become a constant companion. I remember when my parents found him too. I had been woken up first because my room was at the beginning of the hall. I had already gotten out of bed when I heard their loud weeping. This is a Darkest mind fanfic. Nothing besides the characters and some place names will be the same. When Ruby Daly moves from West Virginia to Virginia she's not very excited. Thurmond left her with anxiety and feelings of sadness about the things she had to endure. She was a loner besides her main (and only) friend Sam, so Ruby knew she would have trouble making another. When she enters East River high she's met with a group of people she learns to call friends and even a boy she might like. But her past soon becomes a part of her present and her friendships and new relationship get tested. Everything that she's grown and learn to loved can easily crumble and she has to fight for everything she's worked for!
