After having read "There Will Come Soft Rains" by Ray Bradbury in English class, our teacher wanted us to write our own dystopian short story. As I was doing so, I just happened to be listening to Badlands by Halsey and remembered that this album had a dystopian concept, too. So, basically, this story is built around that concept and more precisely the music video to New Americana, with me adding my own thoughts and imagination...

The war pitted brother against brother, and they are not sparing anyone, no matter how innocent. However, with the hand she'd been dealt, Victoria is far from innocent.
