A sequel to my httyd fanfiction "To Keep Them Safe". Set in a AU after the third httyd movie, where instead the dragons stayed. This book will have spoilers for my first book, I highly recommend you read the other first.... Some years after Hiccup fufilled Brynhild's last request to find Brielle and Hildra. Hiccup and the rest of New Berk are doing well. Zephyr and Nuffink are growing up around dragons and growing up in peace with them. But there are some things that haven't been settled... As Brielle starts to learn more about her mother, she is torn between the mother she thought and remembered her as, and the person most other people remember her as. Can Hiccup help her to move on, and come to terms with who her mother was? Or will she follow in her mother's footsteps? Will she be able to find the family she wants and needs? The pair soon fell in love, and together they built a home for all dragons in the Hidden World. This is their story. I don't own How to Train Your Dragon. What Hiccup Haddock the Third and island princess Hiraya of the Deep Water tribe discover, will astonish them to their core.

My dad would tell me of a time when there were dragons when he was a boy. Oh, there were great grim sky dragons that nested on the cliff tops like gigantic scary birds. Little brown scuddly dragons that hunted down the mice and rats in well-organized packs. Preposterously huge sea dragons that were 20 times as big as the big blue whale. Some say they crawled back into the sea leaving not a bone or a fang to remember them. Others say they were nothing but folk tales to begin with.
