The packs of Quanita (Quan-I-ta) have been at war for as long as anyone can remember. But a new enemy is rising, stronger than all others. The Misories (My-soar-ies), a tribe of unknown beasts. No one has seen them. No one has heard them. No one has scented them. Some consider them extinct. Others call them the offsprings of Chaishin (chai-shin), the god of death, and Sian (sigh-an), the god of evil. When the New Dawn pack finds a lone she-fox on their territory, they have no idea what futures they change.

The Ancients created Paiala to be a peaceful land But what the did not know was that their efforts would be in vain. 2000 years after peace was created in Paiala, it is broken. The tribes are collapsing under themselves. The continent will not be able to hold much longer. Paiala needs a hero. Tempest of the SeaWings and her friends, Hurricane and Prince Cobalt, were blown out to sea by a great storm with an animus named Stormbringer, and Prince . When they woke, they were on a new continent that was not Pantala or Pyrrhia, and they are greeted by strange dragons . . . .

The ocean is trackless.... Young SwoopWing Slip is somewhat content. She has enough fish to eat and brackish water to drink. However, when her friend, Long Wing, goes missing, she needs answers. Especially when other strange things are happening.... A tribe defeated years ago is rising back up again, strange dragons are showing up, overly confident and picking fights, and everyone blames Slip. If she is to save her beloved isles, and clear her reputation, Slip must find out who is actually at the root of all these problems.... Or face a horrible fate.
