The Neon Dawn exploded and took with it the most basic elements of humanity. Only a few survived the explosions, fewer still the mutations and those who did were the privileged few. Undeserving, greedy and corrupt, they created more devastation than any of the beasts that followed.

First chapter is a joke chapter but is still the only explanation I could come up with for the rest of this story. Depa survived Order 66, but sacrificed herself to save Kanan and Ezra seven years later on Lothal when the Bridgers were arrested. The last memory Kanan has of her is her telling him to protect and train Ezra in the force. The two leave Lothal and planet hop as they hide from the Empire. At least that was Kanan's plan until he meets a certain twi-lek.
