This story is for submission in the Eyes, Lips, Fierce Write-a-thon, celebrating strong women in our lives. Being an introvert at the young age of twenty, I had just started my first real job. A couple months later a new boss entered the scene. She was different from everything I knew and she left a lasting impact on my career and life.

Ruby planned to spend her summer vacation working at the uppity children's clothes boutique nestled in her small New England beach town. Working alongside her best friend and uptight boss, Ruby expected a pretty average summer dealing with the tourists and wealthy seasonal residents of Port Aston. When her boss, Lilian's nephew is added to the mix after he was doomed to a summer in Port Aston. After being nearly kicked out of his posh Massachusetts boarding school, Ruby's summer turns anything but average. Being tasked by her boss with keeping this seemingly bad boy under control, Ruby tries her best to keep both her feelings and Spencer at bay. But can't help but be sucked into Spencer's charm and eccentric attitude, they end up causing more chaos amongst Port than anyone expected.

Ryan is a 14 year old, 9th Grade boy who lives in Littleton, New Hampshire. Ryan has an ongoing struggle where he randomly falls asleep and he might just fall over, collapse and sleep and he can't control when this happens. The hardest thing for him is that he's gradually losing his memory and when he does fall asleep he can't tell if it's actually a dream or reality because he can feel and experience everything in his "dreams."

This past summer, I got a job at an amusement park in New Hampshire. It was my first job, and let me just say I had some weird stories.

Beth Burnham is in a lot of financial trouble. She can't pay her bills and her house is falling down in ruins around her. Sure, she's a lawyer, but she's stuck with this dump of a house and a tiny solo practice that consists mostly of helping people out. When she goes to beg work from the fancy law firm in town, she is horrified to find herself begging work from the man she'd stood up years ago. She'd almost run away with him to the big city, trying to escape her nagging mother and a dead-end life, but she'd chickened out, believing that someone like her didn't deserve a better life. But what now?

Before going home, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson are still traveling with Papa Smurf and the rest of the gang to go to New Hampshire. While the Smurfs in Hiddlestons group are shopping for food, clothes, drinks and supplies before heading back to Virginia. Daniel is working on a geometric units with Coroner. Thomas Jefferson and John Adams will soon be having a conference meeting as the rest of the groups stay home.
