just watched pacific rim: uprising today. i'm pissed about the shit ending that herman and newt got, so this is what i'd hope to see in a third movie, basically.

None of these characters are mine. They are from Pacific Rim. Walking past Newton and Hermann's lab is always followed by the sound of the two scientist fighting. What happens when Newt goes too far in their little fight, and things get heated up?

During the "Kaiju War", there were moments where Hermann's and Newton's strictly hateful friendship turned red and pink. Hermann's loneliness and Newton's need to please people bring these moments to light. These are those highlighted moments brought to you by me.

Hermann Gottlieb had a normal, quiet life. Paid his rent. Did his job. Just as any good citizen would. Day in, and day out practically the same. That is, until his new neighbor had moved into the apartment across the hall from him. Hermann suspected that it might be good to have some company around.. But, God how he was wrong. Newton Geiszler was the single most irritating man he had ever had the misfortune of meeting... And, also the most intriguing.

It's a Christmas love story! Newton Geiszler is taking a one man road trip home this Christmas! This year he is more than committed to making it home on time, but not if his old car and the shitty weather get a say. Hermann Gottlieb is spending his Christmas as he does every year, alone in a cabin up in the mountains of Germany. When Newt's car breaks down in the cold isolated mountains on his way home he finds a handsome cabin owner with open doors and no Christmas spirit, maybe he'll find something else up there as well. (P.s. all German phrases and things are translated by google so I'm sorry if those bits are garbage)
