One Evening, One Old Friend is a light-hearted and heartfelt poem about friendship, relationships, and finding joy in the simplest moments.
Through Yash's unexpected movie evening with his old friend Rahul, the poem explores how easily we can become caught up in relationships, family responsibilities, and everyday life-and forget to make time for the friends who have always been part of our journey.
Sometimes, all it takes is one movie, some popcorn, and an old friend to remind us that happiness can be found in the simplest of evenings. ❤️🍿✨
A poem about friendship, memories, and the beautiful reminder that life has more than one kind of outing.
About the Author
I am Lavanya Y. Rao, a new writer who has recently started exploring the world of poetry. Writing poems is a new journey for me, and with every poem, I am discovering new ways to turn simple thoughts, conversations, and everyday moments into words.
The inspiration for "One Evening, One Old Friend" came from a conversation I had with a friend one morning. Something we spoke about stayed in my mind and slowly became the little spark behind this poem. I took that simple thought and imagined it as a story about friendship, everyday life, and the importance of making time for the people who have been a part of our lives.
I am still learning, experimenting, and finding my own voice as a writer. I hope that through my poems, readers can find something familiar, meaningful, or simply comforting in the little stories I share.
