But those plans quickly fall apart when she's met face to face with the bright blue eyes of one Racetrack Higgins. Race is loud, reckless, and impossible to ignore. Yet something about the quiet girl pulls him in, making him want to know more about the girl hidden behind the careful smiles and guarded eyes. The closer they become, the harder it is for Race to keep his feelings hidden. When two worlds collide secrets begin to unravel, loyalties are tested, and Virginia must decide whether to keep hiding in the background - or finally let herself be heard.

It's the early spring of 1900, about half a year since the strike. There's peace between the boroughs. That is, until one particularly influential Manhattan newsie gets a little picky about boundaries with Brooklyn. Racetrack Higgins has often felt divided between Manhattan and Brooklyn, and for more reasons than him originally being from Brooklyn. But when the ever so arrogant Jack Kelly decides to start an argument, which leads to a couple soakings, which in turn leads to a turf war, Race feels the sudden and silent pressure to choose a borough. It's always been hard to tell what Racetrack is thinking, but now he's being even more secretive than before, and the rest of Manhattan is in the dark. I do not own Newsies or any of the characters except for the few explicitly stated to be mine.

The title says it all. I can't write but here I am. This is just for if a little idea pops into my head or if I have writers block on my main story. These will usually be Javid or Sprace. But maybe sometimes Newbians or Crinch ( IDK what is the ship name for finch and crutchie?) Probably all gonna be horrible but if you read them, good luck.

New York isn't for the faint of heart, especially for children. Tommyboy can't help teaching the new kid a thing or two about selling papes. Race and Albert join in on teaching him, but it's Tommy who is the real older brother. He loved the attention he would get and how the new kid looked up to him. They were brothers by heart and Tommy can't let some kid take his younger brother away.
