On a school trip to NYC, Victoria, a girl from 2019, finds herself trapped in 1899, just after the newsboy strike made famous by one of her favorite musicals. Trapped in the wrong century, she casts in her lot with Jack Kelly, Crutchie, and all of her favorite newsies, resulting in adventures, antics... and several clumsy attempts at imitating stunts. This time-trapped fansie soon discovers that the dangers of the fictional past are very real, and fandom worlds collide in unexpected ways as Victoria tries to navigate her new existence...and all the challenges it entails. This story contains elements of Doctor Who and several other fandoms, but it is predominantly a Newsies story. I am using the actors from the live version on Netflix unless I otherwise specify.

It also has not been fully edited. I do pay more attention to some characters than others based upon how close I hold them to my heart.) A JackCrutchie fanfiction. The boy curled into himself more, his skinny arms wrapping weakly around his scraped knees. Jack readjusted his position so he sat down crossed legged in front of the boy. "I's only tryin' ta help ya here, kid, but 'cha ain't givin' me much ta work with." "Charlie." Came a quiet replay. The boy's voice was so small and hoarse that Jack didn't hear what he said. "What was t'at?" "Youse ask ma name. I's Charlie." The Boy -Charlie- repeated. His voice was scratchy, Jack could tell just from that, that the boy hadn't had anything to drink in a while. "Well, what do ya know? Youse can speak," Jack joked. Charlie gave him a weak smile, he seemed less tense, and had long since stopped cowering away. "Nice ta meet cha, Charlie."

"She's the kind of book that you can't put down" All her life Brooklyn Meyers stayed on the side lines with her nose in a book and her head in the clouds. But the day Albert Dasilva crossed her path her life was forever changed. How did she become a newsie? How did she get her nickname? How come she has such a hard shell? Well, that's the beauty of an origin story, isn't it? The year is 1900, 6 years after Jesse left New Hampshire and 1 year after the Newsboy Strike. Jesse left New Hampshire and moved to New York, he also went under the name of Charlie or Crutchie. Jesse made friends quickly and almost forgot about Winnie until he heard a voice behind him: "Do you still need a partner in crime" And Jesse knew that voice anywhere, Winnie.

After a rough past, Rosemary ends up working at the juvinielle jail for underaged kids. She started out helping the boys, but so found herself putting herself between the boys and Snyder. One day, a new boy gets brought into the Refuge. From the minute they meet, Rosemary has a feeling Jack Kelly is not like most boys to go through the Refuge. As she gets to know the city's Newsies, Rose begins to discover that there is more to life than the abuses of the Refuge. Will Jack Kelly and the other newsies help her escape? Or will Rose watch the strike from the sidelines?

❝said "i'm fine but it wasn't true❞ The Newsies had just won their strike against Pulitzer, but in the aftermath of all the action, a news girl is left with a hunting memory that returns to her mind every time she closes her eyes. This causes her push everyone away, and shut down from what happened. Yet, there's one newsie who won't be pushed out so easily. (Book 4) (Sequel to Strike) Started: 8.19.19 Ended: 9.30.19
