A Fan-Made and Fan-Written novelisation of the hit Broadway musical, Newsies. Based on the play by Alan Menken, Jack Feldman, and Harvey Fierstein. Characters, settings, and songs do not belong to me. Everything belongs to their rightful owners. --- Ever chapter will cover one song (except for "Brooklyn's Here", that once is still up for debate ha), sometimes two depending on the length of the song/chapter. Y/n is the Queen of New York, or at least that's what everyone calls her. But who wouldn't. She has everything. Great looks, great singing voice, luck with selling papes, and an amazing boyfriend who also happens to be the leader of the Manhattan Newsies, Jack Kelly. But her life isn't all that perfect. She has flaws like the fact that no one knows her true identity. No one knows her past, no one knows why she was in the refuge all those years ago, and certainly no one knows who her father is and she intends to keep it that way. But when a female reporter by the name of Katherine Plummer, shows up following the story of the newsie strike, y/n's secret is on the verge of being shared to everyone, and to make matters worse, it seems Jack isn't the greatest boyfriend ever when he constantly seems to be pinning over Katherine and ditching y/n. Can y/n keep her secret and her boyfriend or will she have to choose one or the other? When Mush butted in looking out at the view "Hey guys we should do somethin for Crutchie I mean with all he has been through he deserve it." "Oh yeah like what?" Replied Jack trying to seem tough "Well I was thinking we could make him a Crutch." "Ok, but how's we going to do that we ain't got any wood." Said Race. Jack looked down afraid that his friends were right Crutchie did deserve something that how and where would they get the things to make something for him. " Well maybe we could get some wood at the old abandon lumber yard it's only about an hour or so from here . " well OK sure" all The boy's reply and then they quickly all start walking down the bridge towards the lumber yard . After a while the boys finally arrived at the messy small abandoned Yard a

What if the Newsies never forgave Jack for his betrayal speech during the rally? After the strike ended, Jack was titled "The Disgraced Newsie". When his Newsies brothers destroy something very valuable to him, he decides to leave the Lodging House m and never return. Will the Newsies ever realize Jack's sacrifice or will they lose their brother forever? Hi, everyone! I have recently re-read the first story I have written on this platform, "The Disgraced Newsie", and decided that it deserved to be updated as my writing abilities has gotten better over the time I have been on this platform. The original story will still be available, but I felt that the first story that gotten me into Wattpad in the first place deserved a rewrite. Enjoy the story!

Everyone knows that being a newsie is hard work, but few know the difficulties of leading them every day, and even fewer know how hard running Brooklyn is. When Race is welcomed into Brooklyn, he gains direct access to the most mysterious newsie in New York - Spot Conlon. As Spot warms to Race's awkward but endearing personality, he shows him a new side to the leader of the Brooklyn newsies. But as the strike comes to pass, and Spot's hidden past comes to light, Race becomes conflicted, only knowing one thing for sure... it's a long way down. WARNINGS: This work will deal with topics including - Mental Health Violence Time-related attitudes (there are mentions/ inferences of homophobia) - The word 'gay' is not used, as it was not used in the 1890s, however no slurs are used either. - This may be uncomfortable specifically for people who have religion-related trauma in regard to sexuality. Minor Character death (past) Swearing - Also kept period appropriate, although much of it is still in use today If you know you may find any of these topics uncomfortable, please proceed with caution.
