Y/N L/N is on her way West, towards California-- the "golden land", as it's come to be known. The only things that set her apart from the scores of others heading the same way are her gender (which she's hidden for the purpose of finding a wagon train to hire her on) and the fact that she's not as much running towards as running from. She thinks she's got her problems worked out by heading west, but the arrival of one boy just as they're about to leave, and his subsequent joinment to their caravan, mean they're just getting started...

Y/N is used to the hurry and business of the palace, especially since the neighboring kingdom has become more and more hostile. Soon, with war looming over the heads of all, she's sent to safety, far away from the capital city. But when the ship they're on is accosted by pirates, Y/N will be forced into the middle of the conflict-- even more than what first appears. (I'm literally begging y'all to read okay thank you)

When Davey's father recovers from his injury and is able to go back to work, Davey and Les no longer have to stay newsies. Les, of course, begs Davey to let him stay, to which Davey reluctantly gives in, but only until the start of next school year. Davey, on the other hand, feels the need to finish his education to be able to get a teaching job, something he's always been passionate about. He entrusts Les's safety to Jack and Y/n, who both happily accept. However, Davey leaving also means Y/n loses one of their closest friends, and maybe something a little more?

And she was most famous for making the Delanceys cry for their mommies. Yeah, if someone did so much as lay a finger on her newsies, let's just say she knew one or two ways to make a body disappear. Needless to say, no newsie was setting a foot in Queens any time soon. But when push came to shove, someone had to tell them about the strike. And Jack made an offer the boys couldn't refuse. 3 dollars to the brave soul willing to cross the East River. And those three dollars caused a whole other mess. I don't own anything but the story and some of the characters.
