The New Squidbeak Splatoon falls into a mysterious underground Octarian facility, originally home to agent 8. But it's nothing like she remembered. Now it's up to them to figure out how to escape! Will they be able to make it out alive, and will 8 be able to see how her old friends turned out without her? Splatoon and characters aren't mine - belongs to Nintendo. This fanfiction is mine, original, and my first story. Several battle scenes with weapons - if that scares you, don't read. There may be gore scenes too. This story is a work in progress. ((ongoing)) » After fighting for both his life and freedom in the underground, Eight has finally reached the surface, and he's very quick to become determined to get accustomed to whatever this new and strange life has in store for him. All Eight wants is a chance to live outside of a strict military life, and with help from Off the Hook and the New Squidbeak Splatoon, that opportunity is right at his fingertips. » However, between the drama and potential danger of living in a society that's still growing to accept Octarians once more and returning to the underground in order to restore those who had been sanitized by the insane AI, Commander TarTar, things won't be as easy for Eight as he'd originally hoped.

Eight had just escaped the Deepsea Metro a week ago, and she's finally free to live in Inkopolis. After deciding to give Turf Wars a try, she spots pop idol Marie in Inkopolis Square. When Marie enters a sewer grate, Eight follows and enters Octo Canyon. The human girl had woken up and almost instantly been taken by mysterious creatures. After talking to their leader, she's tricked into showing them some of humanity's old practices and inventions. (This is my first time writing ever... I just love Splatoon so much and the idea hit me when I was on Splatoon 2 and went into Octo Canyon only to automatically be Inkling again... And, to be honest, right now I only have a general idea of how the plot will move. Female ponytail Agent 8 forever.) All Characters and stuff owned by Nintendo except for the human.
