Newt should have known she would do it. He'd placed faith in Teresa, and knowing that Thomas loved her didn't make it easy. But he stayed beside his friend the entire time. Nothing has shaken that. But then he catches the Flare. Suddenly he feels himself falling, feels himself spinning out of this life. He knows he won't make it.
