PLEASE, BEFORE READING THIS STORY, TAKE IN MIND THAT THERE IS A TRIGGER WARNING ON IT AND IT IS LABELED AS "MATURE". Thank you :D X X X For Ezra, there was never a chance to have a normal life, or at least one that wouldn't be falling apart like a deck of cards somebody threw into air. And there never will be. While other boys his age took their girlfriends out for a dinner, Ezra took on a job in cafe to ensure water or heat bills will get paid. While his friends celebrated Thanksgiving, he spent it in hospital, waiting for his mother to wake up from alcohol poisoning. And now, even though everything should be getting better, it isn't. Children of Midnight are all together once again; meeting at graveyard at four am to avoid nightmeres that wouldn't let them sleep soundly. Stupid bet, Young love, And five broken hearts that are waiting for a happy ending that will probably never happen.

"Amara!" my grandmother says, grabbing my attention effectively, and I look back at her, quickly realizing I looked at him for far too long. "Meet Ethan, Ethan, this is my lovely granddaughter Amara, the one I told you about!" She smiles as she slightly pushes the both of us closer as she smiles, and takes her leave. I look back towards Ethan, whose eyes are now completely focused on mine. Honestly... I like it when people do that. Most people's eyes tend to scan the room while they speak to others, but he's completely focused. "She's told me quite a lot about you" he says, smiling down at me, and making me realize that I'm not the only one she's expressed her excitement to. I smile back up at him, and chuckle slightly. "Yeah, she's done the same to me." I say, which brings a laugh from both of us. We're quiet for a minute, before he breaks the silence. "I'm honestly surprised she didn't say 'now kiss' before she left." His smile turns a bit brighter, and as does mine. "Honestly, I was thinking she would as well" I look down for a moment, before smiling sheepishly at him, and looking him back in the eyes. I look over towards my grandmother, to see she's with my parents, and not so discreetly pointing towards Ethan and I as we speak. "I believe she didn't quite tell me just how beautiful you are though, if I may say." He says, bringing my attention back to him, as I blush slightly but still look him in his eyes as I smile at him. I look over his face again. "Yet again, I think she did the same to me."
