Nabi had always lived what most would call a normal life. She grew up with her older brother and two of his fellow members from his K‑pop group, surrounded by noise, music, and a kind of chaotic warmth. She'd been adopted at two years old, and even before her parents told her, she somehow always knew.
She never looked like the rest of her family. Her jet‑black hair, mismatched eyes-one green, the other a bluish gray-her brown skin, and her Korean heritage stood out in a household of Japanese faces. Her parents kept her birth name, saying it suited her perfectly.
But normalcy was never simple for Nabi. She spent her childhood in and out of hospitals, battling seizures no doctor could explain. She loved her family deeply, yet she often felt smothered, as if she were living a life that didn't quite fit.
Everything changed when she started high school and moved to Korea to live with Asahi. For the first time, she felt like she could breathe. She found her own rhythm, her own identity, and even fell in love with a boy who seemed to care for her as much as she cared for him.
Until the day it all shattered.
Now Nabi must face the pieces of her life and find a way to rebuild herself. How will she rise from everything she's endured and rediscover who she truly is?
