I first started writing this book, on a snowy day. We didn't have any internet, and I never thought that I would publish it. But there we are. *** "Addison Winter. Please come forward for bull riding." The announcer said, and I carried myself towards the chute. I secured my vest and chaps. I got on the fence and sat on the bull. I wrapped my hand in the rope and nodded my head. The man pulled the lever, and the gate shot open. The bull sprung into action. *** Addison Winter grew up on her father's farm. Until one day when she was 12, he passed. She moved to live with her uncle. Her uncle was a former PBR competitor. She takes a liking to the competition. And she starts bull riding. She is now 17, and one of the best bull riders in the state. What happens when she meets Teagan? Will he distract her before the nationals? *** Teagan King is a cowboy. He lives to rodeo. It's the thrill of the 8 seconds or the rope being thrown, that makes him who he is. When he meets Addison will it turn to more than competitors? Will he get friend-zoned?

I laugh before I looked up and he pushed me against the counter and set the glass down beside the apple. "Then this serves you right." Was all he whispered and I backed up completely to the cabinet and he placed his hands on the counter on either side on my body. "Um... S-Sammy? What are you doing?" I panicked looking anywhere but at him. "Look at me." He whispered and tilted my chin up to face him with his index finger.

"Welcome to the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo!" booms the announcer over the arena. This announcement is met with the cheers and whistles of the excited crowd. But while the people yell and the contestants preform, Charlie Swanson lies dead in her horses stall. Her death shakes the rodeo world, but it also reveals a unending line of people who would have a reason to kill her. As Detective John Carroll leads the investigation into Charlie's death, he realizes he has unfinished business in the arena himself as he faces the ghosts of his past life as a rodeo contestant.

Justin Pierce is finally back home after traveling with the Rodeo circuit for almost 6 years. What he doesn't expect to find though when he returns is that he still has feelings for his old flame.
