In February 2013 I had a stroke shortly after becoming a first-time mother. It came after a number of other life-changing events and is maybe why I wanted to write about it first. If you have suffered an illness or trauma I think you will find something in common with this story. If you haven't had an experience, then maybe it will shed light on what it's like.
