When they were in high school, they dreamed about reopening the abandoned hospital to help out their community after having members of their family and friends die due to the lack of care from white-owned hospitals. Later, when they were older, they bought that abandoned hospital and on their own, the journey began. The story unfolds with a mix of medical drama, personal triumphs, and the enduring bonds of friendship as they strive to make Petunia Hospital Center a beacon of Black excellence in healthcare for their community.

A young woman goes missing from her college campus 4 years ago, her belongings were found in a nearby swamp but with no sign of her for over a year it was presumed she was dead.
