For Notting Hill International Book Festival (www.nibfest.co.uk) I took part in Once Upon A Deadline, where six writers including myself ran around an obstacle course of sorts in Notting Hill, writing and uploading as we went. The following are my uploads from the day. We were given the subsequent day to edit and I did about an hour's work on Sunday getting it into shape. Vote for your favorite story! The first Notting Hill International Book Festival took place in London on 12, 13 and 14. As part of the event a panel of 6 top authors took part in the Once Upon A Deadline writing marathon - Part treasure hunt, part creative writing challenge, it was a thrilling experiment in real-time writing, shared live on Wattpad. It was a race against the clock to see who could post the the best short story in just 36 hours, using only their imaginations and what they encountered along 7 surprise writing stops in Notting Hill. Attendees at NIBFEST watched the action unfold in London, while readers on Wattpad also followed the stories live as the authors posted throughout the weekend. Now the polished final versions are here in this collection. Take a read and vote for your favorite. The winner will be revealed shortly! They will receive a cash prize and be crowned the winner of NIBFEST's first Once Upon A Deadline writing marathon!
