Isabella's father had been a captain in the Marines for longer than she had been alive. When he figured out his biggest burden was planning to run for the hills once she turned eighteen, he stuck her in bootcamp. The same one he captained. Not only did she have to prove herself to him, but to the thirty or so men she was stuck bunking with. She had been trained her whole life for this, so it shouldn't be hard to come out on top, right? It wouldn't be, if it weren't for Slovacek.

A 25 year old Czechoslovakian, Vanesa Troskova, decides to change her life completely, wanting to achieve the American dream she always dreamed of. She, a young, honest woman, with a hint of sarcasm in every word she shares with the world, takes a crazy opportunity and flies to America after the release of the traveling restrictions outside of Czechoslovakia in the year 1989. She and her new best friend Jessica Moore decide to enlist for the American marines, not realising the consequences. Only if she knew how her imagination of a perfect American dream is going to differ from the cruel disciplined marine reality of mud, sweat, blood and maybe love she signs up to.
