A thoughtfully written parody of The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, except it is written completely different and with an entirely different outcome that changes the entire tone and purpose of this story. This parody of The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald (I believe you should read his original work before mine, if you want to see how truthful it is to the original story and/or to see the changes) focuses around Nick Carraway and Jay Gatsby's relationship, which slowly blossoms from neighbors, to friends, and to more. It's a story you've heard before. Late into a humid summer, Audie Carraway returns to Buchanan. She has one outfit in her suitcase: a funeral dress. Two months prior, her cousins Nick and Daisy come to Buchanan as they do every summer. But for the first time, they are watching their family fall apart, they are haunted, and they are increasingly alone. History, if nothing else, repeats, and this is a story that has already been told.

Jay Gatsby is supposed to be dead. So is Nick Carraway. After months of loneliness and grief, Nick and Gatsby wake up in West Egg - again, and again, and again.

Listen, we all know Nick and Gatsby are seen by a lot of people (including yours truly) as very homosexual. And anyone that knows me knows that I struggle with bringing myself to write predominantly sad stories. So for now you, dear reader(s?), and I can pretend that Daisy was a little better at driving, Gatsby came to terms with Daisy being out of reach (and with his own sexuality), and instead of us interpreting Nick and Jay as gay for each other, they are very, very explicitly gay for each other as they find when they spend more time together and away from the deceit of people they once thought of more kindly.

So far this is just the new prologue and epilogue but that's fine because that's the bulk of the additions. Literally it's just The Great Gatsby but Nick Carraway makes taxidermy from animals. Literally nothing about the main plot changes besides this little fun fact about the most reliable narrator ever

After Gatsby has Nick invite Daisy over for a reunion of their lost love, Gatsby hesitates and finds himself no longer in love with Daisy, but rather someone much more interesting. With the plans he has in mind, he needs a good amount of money to pay off the cops and a good excuse. NOT HISTORICALLY ACCURATE SO IF THERE IS A DETAIL OFF, JUST IGNORE IT PLEASE

Dying to know more about the elusive Gatsby, Nick befriends him and starts of unearth many secrets about the past of West Egg. Nick figures out where he belongs in the Great Gatsby's story; a story that will no doubt be filled with secrets, heartbreak, and love. Story is original, but characters belong to F. Scott Fitzgerald.

This is an extra credit assignment for Nick x Gatsby, read if you dare. This will have an inconsistent writing schedule, this is also written by a 15 year old so don't keep your hopes high.
