Rose Carraway. The embodiment of a beautifully tainted rose, a blossoming flower, sprouting from the depths of sharp thorns, blooming towards the happy glowing sun. She was the balance in the Carraway family, the mess it had become, Nicks forced engagement, her mothers alcoholism, her fathers workaholic tendencies. Forcing the siblings hand to run, the engagement spooking Nick, and like the loyal sister she was, Rose left with Nick to New York, Long Island, and meets up accidentally with her past. Just before Gatsby was shipped of to war, he'd met the pure beauty that was Rose Carraway, and no longer was his mind set for Daisy, it was Daisy's cousin instead. Rose Carraway completely took over Jay Gatsby's mind, the daring Daisy Faye, 5 years newly Buchanan now gone from any object of Gatsby's affection. But as the well known tale went in the original Gatsby, the two were split, and Rose Carraway felt an extreme loss, clamming herself up, never allowing herself to love again. Withering in the depths of her own garden, wilting away with every sob and gasp, drying herself up. Until her sun walked in - her brother, Nick Carraway, lifted her up and nursed her to health. But this time, Rose Carraway expresses promise, new beginnings, and hope. Her strongly built thorns defending her heart, building her strength, never letting a man handle her gruesomely. But unfortunately it made her cynical, the loss of love, the lack of parents. She became a little thoughtless, riddled with the inability to hold care for anyone but her brother. Will Jay Gatsby bring back the life he took from Rose Carraway? Or will Rose's stubbornness push him away?

Canon divergence of The Great Gatsby where Nick Carraway and Jay Gatsby fall in love. (This is being writing by three diff people so the writing styles may vary)

It's a fanfiction of the great gatsby. This story takes places right before the main events of the story and shows how Gatsby obtains and has money. This is something I did for an English class :)

So far this is just the new prologue and epilogue but that's fine because that's the bulk of the additions. Literally it's just The Great Gatsby but Nick Carraway makes taxidermy from animals. Literally nothing about the main plot changes besides this little fun fact about the most reliable narrator ever

Nick Carraway is a young adventurous Catholic midwesterner moving to Long Island in the summer of 1922. Old feelings reappear and new friendships blossom as Nick grapples with old feelings of lust and desire in the face of his moral apprehensions.

In this version, Gatsby is not dead but is not alive in the version he wanted to be in. Daisy is now near him but is still the furthest away from Gatsbys' mind. Some would say, he eradicated her. The Great Gatsby ending just didn't sit right with me. With Gatsby just dead and taking all the blame, I sat and thought of what I wanted the ending to be like. Although the movie and the novel end quite differently, I wrote this version to give me peace and clarity of mind. Great Gatsby chapter one from Daisy's point of view

In the middle of an October morning, Jay Gatsby wakes up to something strange and distressing. He can barely remember who he is and where he is...let alone the fact that he's also a child. He knew none of it was right. But when Nick Carraway comes over in the idea of still having plans with him, the Buchanan's and Miss Baker- he realizes that he has to help Gatsby return to his normal self...but how?

A thoughtfully written parody of The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, except it is written completely different and with an entirely different outcome that changes the entire tone and purpose of this story. This parody of The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald (I believe you should read his original work before mine, if you want to see how truthful it is to the original story and/or to see the changes) focuses around Nick Carraway and Jay Gatsby's relationship, which slowly blossoms from neighbors, to friends, and to more. This is "The Great Gatsby" Chapter 10... narrated by Nick (and the author) who is now the new Gatsby. Although, he doesn't have the same taste of lasciviousness and Gatsby did. He lives a quiet and quaint life. None of the exciting and chaotic parties Gatsby hosted. But what happens when Nick goes to visit Gatsby and his grave is disturbed? Who would do that?
