At first, she only does it for the free coffee, but soon she finds herself interested in the extremely depressing male. He begins to take over her thoughts. Nicki desperately attempts to resist it, but fails. Frank is all she thinks about. His dreariness and darkness invades her body. No way would she admit it to anyone, but she kind of loves it.

Christopher Brown and Makai Hart have been friends since elementary school. Now that they're completely legal and out living their lives for themselves, their relationship takes a turn for the worst. Christopher has had his little girlfriends come and go, and Makai has remained single up until now. She finds a friend in one of Chris' acquaintances (Tremaine), and falls for him instantly. But Tremaine was keeping a huge secret from Makai, and even though Christopher warned her of it, she didn't listen to him. It came down to Makai hearing it from someone else before she finally realized that what Christopher was saying was true, but it was almost too late. Their relationship is eventually defined, and everything works out for the better.
