We last saw Meredith and Nick have a huge fight on the last scene of the season 18 finale and Meredith tells Nick to go and Nick surprisingly followed. Not to mention the pressure on her to be the chief with blood shortages and with Owen and Teddy quitting. But what if Nick didn't leave?

A mistake she made...but it's his fault for ignoring her. Meredith slept with Nathan accidentally when she was drunk but Nick never believed her,Alex did.Nathan got her pregnant by accident but Nick called her name instead of letting her explain what 'really' happened the night before Nick found her naked in Nathan's room.

The title of this story comes from the title of Wildfire by Cautious Clay which is, as you may know, the song that played when Meredith and Nick met again in the beginning of season 18.

~ Mernick One Shot ~ After Nick and Meredith spend the night together they lay in bed while a huge storm passes the hotel they're staying in and Nick learns about Meredith's fear of thunders. What is going to happen in season 19? This is my take!

This story takes place about a month after the finale of Season 18. The day Nick left her something traumatic happened to Meredith and he only finds out a long time afterwards. Hope you like the story =)

Just some conversations I think Meredith and Nick could have... 1. Meredith and Nick compare scars 2. Meredith and Nick talk about his relationship with her kids 3. Meredith and Nick discuss marriage

The missing scene between Meredith's and Nick's discussion about the job offer in the lab, and her arriving back in Seattle with him and introducing him to the kids. Meredith goes to see Nick to apologize for thinking the worst, and to explain to him why she is having a complicated time when it comes to moving. The conversation I feel the show will never give, where Meredith actually talks about DC, and how her marriage had been falling apart, for a while before her late husband died, even if they had agreed to try again.

The only slight plot divergence is that Meredith and Nick have never met before and of course things are going to develop a little differently from this point on.
