A blizzard hits Atlanta while Nic is home alone on her day off. Conrad is working a shift at Chastain memorial hospital during the blizzard. While Nic is home alone she hears a noise on the front porch and thinks it is Conrad coming home. She looks outside and realizes he isn't home yet. Nic opens the front door to find a young girl unconscious on her front porch. She notices signs of abuse and quickly brings the little girl inside out of the cold. Nic has no choice but to keep the little girl with her until she can get to the hospital. What will happen when the little girl forms a bond with Nic? How will Nic handle knowing that they will have to call social services?
