I am a citizen of Dema. I am an escapee. I have failed time and time again. I have never seen the world outside this city, but one day I hope to. One day I will. My friend Clancy is like me. He is a citizen of Dema. He is an escapee. He is an exception. He has seen the world outside these imposing walls. He tells me about these people he's seen. He hasn't been able to speak with them yet, but he gets closer with each escape. I'm going to ask him to take me the next time he goes. I want to see these people for myself. I want to know if we can survive outside of Dema. Because I want to live.

Tyler has been in Dema for what feels like forever. He can barely what it feels like to want to leave, and why would he? It's comfortable, and there's no surprises, unlike the harsh terrain and unpredictable weather of Trench. But Josh is worried. He's worried that his friend is slowly drifting into compliance and that they'll never reach Slowtown. Hell, he's worried that he'll wake up one day, and Tyler won't. It's always been Dema. I don't remember there being a beginning of my life here, but I don't really think I came from here. It really doesn't matter, because I'm here now. evie (pronounced EH-vie) is apart of the banditos, a clan lead by tyler joseph and josh dun. their arch nemesis, the bishops are always kidnapping tyler and other banditos and taking them back into the city of dema. evie is just in it to be safe from the bishops, but when she gets too involved, things take a turn and evie's life in trench will never be the same. intentional lowercase i do not own the world of trench nor any songs or other things that i reference. credit to twenty-øne piløts.

The first thing I remember is the moment when I realized everything was a lie. The moment when everything crushed in front of me. The moment when the world became black for me.

He had to make this decision. That was the only way to be released and not live as a part of demon that was taking his soul away.

Small retranscription of the emotions felt through the album Trench by Twenty One Pilots. Each chapter corresponds to a song. The point of view is Blurryface's, sometimes Josh's. The text may seem abstract but everything has a meaning. Enjoy the reading.

"The fear and pain shall not be elements that stop us, but what feeds us to persevere." Clancy is a Scribe within the walled city of Dema, a silent, gray place where everything is performed with efficiency and repetition. While he is proud to represent his district amongst the Scribes and relay the history of Dema for future generations, he begins to feel that there is something missing within the city that can only be found outside the walls. Risking everything to escape the perimeters, Clancy realizes that the ravines of Trench can be a dangerous place, especially with the canyon's labyrinthine pathways and the Bishops at his heels. Lianna Higgins and her odd trio of outcasts have been scouting Trench for the better part of three years, hoping to one day liberate the people of Dema themselves, even if it means risking their lives. When Lianna stumbles upon an escapee from Dema fate brings them and Lianna's crew to the Banditos, who themselves are devoted to usurping the Bishops and bring the walls of the gray city down. Lianna doesn't enjoy the Banditos' company - as a matter of fact, she despises their company - but she doesn't have anywhere else to go and the life of a timid young Scribe now rests like a heavy weight on her shoulders. The trial ahead will be hard and neither Clancy nor Lianna are eager to weigh the odds - but joining the Banditos and severing ties with Dema may be the only way for them to survive. If you don't know what DEMA is all about, this explains all of it. If you don't know, twenty one pilots came out with two new songs title "Nico and the Niners" and "Jumpsuit". They are coming out with a full album by the name of "Trench" on October 5th, 2018. This will explain everything you were wondering. I did a lot of research for this, so I hope you appreciate it.
