I tried to follow the sound and moved closer to the direction it emanated from. For some reason it led me to a locker. "Hello?" I asked feeling stupid. It got louder as I approached the red locker. Oh my God! Is someone there? I moved closer to the locker and pressed my ear on it. This time I could hear heartbeats vibrating lightly against the locker. I thought my mind was playing tricks on me but no... Someone IS in there! As I attempted to open the locker, Mr. Todd's voice boomed in the hall. "Miss Alexander? What are you still doing here?" And that was my cue, I walked speedily not wanting to spend another second in that school.
