He faces me, limbs trembling. His face is pale, eyes wild. I can't do this. I can't fight my best friend. 'No', I think, but why is it so difficult to say it out loud? The crowd is growing restless by the minute, screaming for us to fight. But I can't do that. "Sunny," I say, my voice drowned by the noise. "We have to do it. It's now or never!" Sunny's expression changes to that of determination. An illusion is already beginning to form. As I watch, his lips shape the words he can't say aloud. Run. ***** The Arena of Insanity. A place where those with special powers go, those who are considered to be out of their minds. But these "insane" people are put down through bloody battles they must wage to survive the days. The rebuilding of the Night Circus.

A collection of short stories written by me based on just the title and cover of a book I have never read. Suggestions are always open!

My friend was traveling, and asked me to tell her a story over the phone,he was traveling, and this was what I told her: . . . . . Yes, I am aware there is a book out there titled "Night Circus".... I read it. This isn't the same. It's based off it, and the begining may be similar (especially the tent), but it's a short story I told my friend that is essentially not even close to the same.

'I was classed as an outcast....a freak in fact. No one liked me, my parents told me there was only one place I belonged. The Twilight Circus. Thats where all the freaks belonged....wasn't it?' • • • • My names Luna. It's the year 1694 and I'm classed as a freak. I don't think there's anything wrong with me but people say there is. It's just because wings appear on my back sometimes. They're white and baby blue. People don't talk to me because of it and my family are ashamed of me. They all say I belong in The Twilight Circus.
