Owlwind one of Thunderclans warriors was murdered, although his clanmates think a fox killed him. Nightpaw finds out something nobody would believe nor listen to, She and Starlingpaw are the only cats who know, Destroy the flames that blaze inside.

Hawkwing gets kidnapped, Brightstar gets separated from her clan, Starstripe in a leaderless clan, and Nightfeather blames himself. The plot is thickening and Starstripe knows that the time for him to fulfill his prophecy is growing near, but he keeps asking himself "am I strong enough?" Everyone is desperate to survive, but are any of them strong enough? Moonshadow is still running loose with cats on her tail sent by Connor. Nothing is going according to plan for anyone.
