One night he wakes up crying because the dreams have gotten that bad. Eliza points out a scar on his cheek that wasn't there before he went to sleep. That is the moment Alex realizes that whatever happens in his nightmares, will happen to him in real life as well. After a really long time of trying to stay awake, he falls asleep again anyway. When he finds himself in that place again, he runs into John. Alex realizes that some of his other friends might be there as well.
