Gaster wanted to see if it was possible to make a new soul, so he took a bunch of humans from the surface without the assistance of a human soul. The girl that the experiment worked on her name was Violet but Gaster gave her a subject experimental name, it was VB21T this stood for VioletBex21True which meant it worked. While all this was going on Gaster told all this to Grillby, who was his former best friend before he disappeared he told him to tell one of his sons this information about Violet as he said it would be helpful in the future...

Ever since you were young you would go to the tree that held the black and gold apples. You would never get close enough to touch it and neither would your friends. After all with all of the rumors that went around about how if people got to close to the tree they would disappear with out a trace. But as you got older your fear of it grew less and less until you would find yourself sitting under the tree on your days off to do random things like homework or reading.
