Hailmaker never experienced kindness or friendliness unless it was from his mother on occasion. He lived with the IceWings in the southern palace. Most of them just tried to use him and yell at them when he couldn't do what they wanted. He's a weak IceWing/NightWing animus that can only enchant something if the spell is small and insignificant or doesn't help anyone. But then he's informed that he and his mother are leaving the Ice Kingdom. Nobody tells him why but he's glad that he can get away from the IceWings who hated him. He goes to Jade Mountain where he feels like one particular dragon that's important somehow... (This story occurs at the same time as "My WoF Story" [aka Moonsun's])
