The remains of the human race have retreated underground, forming the Ark with the adroids which they dubbed Nikke being their only hope. Nikkes were lead by human commanders, which happen to meet an untimely end most of the time. However, what would happen if a certain minus had ended up as an commander?

Mankind's Greatest Hero has finished his mission once more. Saving Earth from the Didact and his weapon of mass-recruitment, the Composer, the Master Chief and his AI companion, Cortana, find themselves mysteriously transported to a strange variation of Earth, where machines rule the surface and mankind hides below.
