There are some lines that should not be crossed, and The Fates just crossed about half of them. See, Jackson Monroe and Araceli Delgado have been best friends for the past two years, ever since they found out that they were, y'know, demigods. They did demigodly stuff, like fighting , almost dying, screaming and most importantly, giving a big middle finger to the natural order of the world.
Guess what? The Fates took a good look at these two and their semi-awesome lives and said 'No, absolutely not. Make them suffer.' And suffer they did. Not just them of course (Self-centered much?) There were other demigods and satyrs and Dryad and Nereids and... You get the point.
This isn't like Percy Jackson's story. This is much, much different. These are children that are fighting for the fate of the world, tons of them. And not a single one of them is a child of the big three.
