A Mini-Fic I wrote in celebration of Gavin Reed's birthday! ---- Detective Gavin Reed hasn't celebrated a birthday since his 21st, which he spent getting piss-drunk at some random bar - an activity he doesn't need a special occasion for anymore. Honestly, he doesn't give a shit about the day anymore. It's just the day that marks him getting one year older, one year closer to death. No big deal. Nines, an RK900 model android and Gavin's partner, is deeply fascinated by human traditions. When he learns that Gavin doesn't like to celebrate his birthday, Nines takes it upon himself to change that.
