My story for a writing contest. I decided to change it from a short story to a full blown book. The first two chapters is the original story split in half. Now I'm going to continue writing it. Jade had it rough growing up after her father died. After one crappy memory after the other, Jade wasn't surprised when life threw her yet another curve ball. Now after an unfortunate accident, secrets come to the surface and new feelings are thrown into the mix of things. Will Jade ever acquire the happiness she once had? Will she even get a chance to? In the first two chapters it's a series of flash backs that are alternate realities to Jade's memories so yes they are memories starting from When Jade was a kid. Then it continues to the present day. The memories are what Jade wanted but not what really happened. It'll be easier to understand as you read.
