The six ninjas from Ninjago had just finished a long week of protecting the city, and Lloyd had an idea. "We need a break," he said. "Let's go to the beach!" Everyone agreed instantly. Soon, Kai was racing across the sand, trying to build the biggest sandcastle. Jay kept adding silly towers and secret tunnels, which made the castle collapse three times. Cole set up a picnic blanket stacked high with snacks. "A ninja needs energy," he said proudly, already halfway through the sandwiches. Meanwhile, Zane studied the ocean waves carefully. "The water temperature is ideal for swimming," he announced. Before anyone could answer, Nya ran straight into the sea and splashed everyone nearby. "Last one in is cleaning the monastery floors!" she shouted. That was enough motivation. The ninjas charged into the water laughing. Even serious Lloyd got hit by a giant wave and came up smiling. Later, they played beach volleyball. Jay dove dramatically for every ball, even the ones nowhere near him. Kai insisted he was the best player, though he missed the final serve. As the sun began to set, the sky turned orange and pink. The ninjas sat together watching the waves roll in. "No villains. No battles. No danger," said Cole. Right then, a crab stole his sandwich and scuttled away. Everyone burst out laughing. "Okay," said Cole, chasing after it. "One tiny battle." And it became their favorite beach day ever.
