Ninjago High school hosts an annual work experience day for all the students, where each class is randomly assigned to do a job for work experience. Lloyd's class is chosen to be teachers at Hero School, and help the teachers there to teach various of subjects. However, while they do this, Romeo kidnaps Garmadon and plans on turning him evil again! Lloyd and his team and their powers aren't enough to stop him, and if they want to defeat Romeo and save Garmadon, they will need someone's help. Someone who knows this enemy better than them: The PJ Masks.

Y/N arrives at Ninjago High with a mission: befriend Lloyd Garmadon, the son of a reformed villain, and recruit him to the Sons of Garmadon. Haunted by a tragic past and manipulated by the Overlord, Y/N is bound to serve, her loyalty enforced by fear. Lloyd, already struggling with the weight of his father's legacy and the constant bullying at school, finds a glimmer of hope in Y/N's kindness. As their bond strengthens, Y/N's internal conflict intensifies. She begins to question the Sons of Garmadon's methods and the true nature of her mission. Meanwhile, the Overlord, trapped in the Underworld, plots his escape, requiring the combined powers of both Lloyd and Y/N. When the truth of Y/N's mission is revealed, Lloyd's heart is broken, and Ninjago's fate hangs in the balance.
