Ace, Draco, Max and Ava are having fun being their usual selves. But that all starts to go Downhill when on the news it was shown that traces of the deadly ink know as "Fatal Ink" was found in Inkopolis plaza(luckily away from the square and that no inklings or octolings were harmed). Ace and Draco start missing team meetings and forget to participate in turf wars.Team Red may fall apart! Just as society was accepting the arrival of the octolings they start to turn they're backs on them again! What will happen??

Somewhere near Podunk, you find your best friend, Ninten, at your door, wanting you to go on an adventure. It's a normal morning for the children, until a "thunderstorm" comes their way. The other protagonists from Mother 1 and 2 fall from the sky. Now they must find out how to get them home but they all start getting kidnapped one by one by a new enemy. How will they escape? A strange bell in a new place is the only way... Characters you may not know: Kayleigh and Marcia: Kayleigh is a 12 year old girl from a kingdom called Medlon. She was chosen to be a princess and granted powers, and one of her missions was to help out in the nowhere islands after a bit of research. She went to help them fight off Porky after the world had been reset in the events of mother 3, however, everyone remembered what happened. Claus and Hinawa are back as well. Kay befriended the twins after a few issues and fights alongside them. Eventually, they meet up with little miss Marshmallow and helps her become good like she wants. They call her Marcia, as it's a human name. The four fight now together and plenty of things happen.

Lucas and Claus were ordinary kids. They both were brothers and had a mother and father. That was until people started roaming around the streets, attacking civilians and eating them before their own eyes. Ness was the same just like them. People started to roam around Onett and other towns, eating humans and turning them into monsters. Ninten dealt with the same issue. His life was as normal as any other kid, until those monsters began showing up were he lived too. These monsters seemed to be everywhere. Ness, Ninten, Lucas, and Claus all now have one primary mission. To destroy these race of monsters and try to survive this post apocalyptic word.
