The perfect timing for 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦-but somehow, it was never the perfect timing to 𝘣𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦.
𝑵𝒆𝒊𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒂 𝑴𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝑳𝒂𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕 had always believed in love at first sight. Back in junior high, she had seen him in the hallway-𝑲𝒂𝒊, with that 𝘴𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘵, 𝘶𝘯𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘴𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘦 that made the 𝘥𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘴 on his cheeks appear like 𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘺 𝘴𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘴, and those 𝘦𝘺𝘦𝘴 that seemed to hold the entire world whenever he laughed. From that moment, her heart had quietly decided 𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘦.
She never imagined how a glance or a smile could leave such a mark. Every time she thought of him, her stomach fluttered, and her thoughts wandered to the "𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘧𝘴" she dared not speak aloud.
By senior high, her world became more complicated. She met 𝑫𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒆𝒏 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒆, a top student who loved biology almost obsessively and could talk about it for hours. He was smart, attentive, and somehow, strangely attached to her. He joked with her, noticed small details about her, and had a way of making her laugh even on the dullest days.
𝘕𝘦𝘪𝘢 couldn't help but like him. There was something comforting in his presence, even though her heart sometimes wandered back to the memory of 𝘒𝘢𝘪-the boy from junior high who had unknowingly claimed her 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘤𝘳𝘶𝘴𝘩.
She didn't know that life had a way of weaving complicated threads, that the people who crossed her path now could be connected in ways she could never guess. And yet, in her quiet heart, she hoped for something simple: a moment, a smile, a reason to believe that maybe, just maybe, love had its own timing-one that 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥.
