Barefoot on the Cold Soil The story of a great inventor who won both the Nobel Prize and the Mao Dun Literary Prize, then left everything and walked barefoot into the forest. Lin Wei, a Chinese genius, invented five things that changed the world: tubes that deliver food, beds that travel with you, a machine that catches fish, a walkway that moves you, and energy that lights the night. But she lost one thing: her feelings. She cannot cry. She cannot laugh. She cannot hug or be hugged. She left the awards. She left the wealth. She left the fame. She went to the Amazon rainforest. She took off her shoes. She touched the soil. And there, she learned the meaning of her grandmother's words: "Whoever sleeps on the soil releases their negative energy." A story about cold technology, the missing hug, and the return to nature. Read it.

Raider's Grove was a small sleepy town in the middle of nowhere, famous for its beaches. With the nearest hospital in then next town over, nobody was jumping up and down about it. Thats why, when Brooklyn Scott moved to Raider's Grove all the way from New York City, she wasn't exactly happy about it. Sure, the beaches were nice and the people were friendly but it was nothing compared to the big city. But all that changes when Brooklyn spots the small cake shop on the corner of Eighth Street. It's name may be cheesy but, it catches Brooklyn's heart right away. Lucky for her the shop is looking for another staff member and she applies right away. But she doesn't last long. Within a few days, she encounters what the people like to call the town bad boy. Mason Roberts is a delinquent. He's been kicked out of his fair share of schools and has beat up a decent amount of guys. So when he walks into the cake shop, Brooklyn knows that living in this town won't be as easy as she thought.

Nestled in the heart of Seoul, Eunseong Academy is an elite school reserved for the children of Korea's most powerful and influential families. Known for its rigorous academics and long-standing tradition of shaping the nation's future leaders, the academy is a world of wealth, ambition, and complex social dynamics. At the top of the school's hierarchy is the Student Council, where the driven and disciplined Hana serves as President. Her childhood friend and Vice President, Hyunsoo, is her charismatic partner in leadership. Their relationship, however, is complicated by an arranged marriage between their families for political and business gain, a bond neither desires but cannot escape. Each of the students have their own ambitions and challenges, but with so many powerful personalities, conflicts are inevitable. Despite their differences, the students share strong friendships forged over years of competition, family pressure, and a mutual drive for success. Romantic relationships further complicate the web of interpersonal dynamics. Hana and Hyunsoo's arranged engagement is strained by the lack of romantic feelings between them. Jinwoo harbors unspoken feelings for Maki, while Sungjae and Nari share a playful yet complex bond. Jaehyun and Seunghee, the youngest committee members, feel an unexpected attraction, and Yuna and Minho find love amidst their competitive worlds. As the school year progresses, these students must navigate personal dreams, familial expectations, and the ever-present pressures of their elite positions. The stakes are high as they struggle to balance friendships, rivalries, and romance while staying true to their duty to Eunseong Academy and their powerful families. Duty and desire collide, and every choice can either secure their legacy or tear it all apart.

Gitanjali (Bengali: গীতাঞ্জলি) is a collection of poems by the Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore. The original Bengali collection of 157 poems was published on August 14, 1910. The English Gitanjali or Song Offerings is a collection of 103 English poems of Tagore's own English translations of his Bengali poems first published in November 1912 by the India Society of London. It contained translations of 53 poems from the original Bengali Gitanjali, as well as 50 other poems which were from his drama Achalayatan and eight other books of poetry - mainly Gitimalya (17 poems), Naivedya (15 poems) and Kheya (11 poems). The translations were often radical, leaving out or altering large chunks of the poem and in one instance fusing two separate poems (song 95, which unifies songs 89,90 of Naivedya). The translations were undertaken prior to a visit to England in 1912, where the poems were extremely well received. In 1913, Tagore became the first non-European to win the Nobel Prize for Literature

The candle burns low. I sit at the end of the dining table, silver polished, wine untouched, dinner going cold for the third night this week. The chair across from me-his chair-remains empty. It always is now. They say he's in the city, whispering rebellions and kissing poetry from the mouth of a woman half my age. They say she wears my rubies now-the ones my mother gave me on my wedding night. I do not ask. I do not weep. I simply breathe. That is all I am allowed to do these days. Breathe... and stay married. The walls of Alwyndale Manor are not kind to echoes. Every step I take, I hear only silence follow. Not even the portraits watch me anymore. Perhaps they've turned away out of pity. I wonder if he thinks of me at all. Sometimes, I pass him in the corridor. His eyes glance over me like I am a ghost that doesn't haunt properly-quiet, decorous, and easy to ignore. I am not angry. That is what makes it worse. I am not angry, because there is nothing left in me that he hasn't already taken. My ladies speak gently now, as if I might shatter. The servants smile too carefully. No one dares to say her name in front of me. But they all know. The whole court knows. The whole damn country knows- The Duchess has been replaced. Not by a divorce. Not by decree. But by absence. And that, I think, is the cruelest kind of affair-the one where the world still calls you wife, but no one treats you like one. Not even him. POV: Lady Seraphine, The Duchess
