Eight friends, once inseparable and always looking for the next thrill, were known for their harmless prank calls. They'd spend hours laughing and making silly jokes, but one prank went too far. A few years ago, they prank called the wrong person, a man who was secretly a notorious kidnapper. As they made their typical, goofy prank call, they unknowingly interrupted a kidnapping in progress. The man was caught by the police when he was trying to escape, and the call led to his arrest. The kidnapper, enraged by the prank call and the loss of his freedom, has spent years plotting revenge. After serving his time in prison, he starts stalking the group of friends, lurking in the shadows, waiting for the right moment to strike. He calls their old prank call number as a reminder of the past, setting up the perfect situation for the group to fall back into their old ways. One night, during a sleepover, the friends decide to make more prank calls, just like they used to. Unaware to them, the prank caller is the very man they helped send to prison. In the middle of the night, they are all woken up by the same number calling them but this time, it's not a prank. The kidnapper has returned to get his revenge.
