Loyal, funny, hiding feelings for Lia he's never confessed. 3. Rae Carter - Lia's older sister. Protective, bitter, struggling to accept what's happening. 4. Ms. Monroe (Clara) - Lia and Rae's mom. Emotionally distant since their father died. Blames herself. 5. Jordan Hale - The ex-boyfriend who left without a word. Shows up uninvited on Lia's birthday. --- Close Friends / Extended Circle 6. Tess Barlow - The loud, chaotic bestie. Always the comic relief, but cracks when things get too real. 7. Noah Liu - The quiet, observant one. Takes photos of everything. Knows more than he lets on. 8. Mina Shah - Former best friend turned stranger. They haven't spoken in months. There's a reason. 9. Grayson "Gray" Bennett - Eli's cousin. New to town, charming, stirring up old drama. 10. Dr. Alina Rhodes - Lia's therapist. Appears only in flashbacks or journal entries. Voice of reason.

Milo Lamar is a 16-year-old who lives in New York he works at a bar called the Ty Bar, where he has been working for 2 years ever since his mother died, he's gotten close to everyone at the bar. They are like family. Milo goes to school but no one knows about his bar life not even his best friends but what if one day his friends followed him to the bar to his home even to his mother's grave they didn't know how hard his life was only a couple of the real friends stayed and did not go out and snoop in his life, the other hand his 'friends' don't listen and go any way they invade his privacy the 'friends' tell them what the discoveries found the teachers then call the police and shut down the bar, Milo is furious to the point, he has enough money to build his own bar so he quits high school because he is smart enough you had a college iQ

⚠️⚠️ TW: Abusive mother, bullying, foul language, alcohol, self-harm, drugs I'm a freak. I'm a coward. I'm a loner. I'm a loser. Everyone in school hates me. But then, he doesn't? He looks at me, and he smiles, then he looks away. He looks at her. He's so confusing. I guess I shouldn't get my hopes up, though. She's the prettiest girl in school, valedictorian, sweet to all, and has so many friends. He's top three in his class, second string on his varsity hockey team, treats everyone as equals, and always has a smile on his face and a laugh brimming from his lips. Me, I sit alone in the corner of the cafeteria, always wearing a baggy shirt and sweatpants, my hair in a messy bun that I try to tame. I have no friends, no study buddies, no one to hang out with. I've never been to a party, never drank, smoked, never really had fun of any kind. I stay cooped up in my room, all day, every day. I wake up, shower, get ready, go to school, come home, do homework, eat, sleep, and repeat. So then, why does he always look at me? He's surrounded by a sea of people, including the most perfect girl, yet he catches my eye every day.
