Di dunia yang gelap dan penuh luka, Kairo adalah manusia yang telah kehilangan segalanya-dari rasa hingga tujuan. Hidupnya adalah perjalanan tanpa makna, dihantui oleh masa lalu yang penuh trauma dan perasaan mati rasa yang menjadi tamengnya untuk bertahan. Namun, semuanya berubah ketika Nero, seorang iblis tingkat rendah yang penuh teka-teki, turun ke dunia untuk menjemput jiwa Kairo. Alih-alih menjalankan tugasnya, Nero melanggar aturan neraka, tertarik oleh keteguhan Kairo yang meskipun rapuh, tetap bertahan. Dalam pertemuan ini, sebuah hubungan yang tak terduga mulai terbentuk, mempertemukan dua jiwa yang rusak di tengah situasi yang penuh konflik. Namun, keputusan Nero untuk menunda tugasnya memicu amarah para penguasa neraka. Di bawah ancaman penghukuman, Nero dan Kairo harus menghadapi serangkaian ujian yang dirancang untuk menghancurkan mereka berdua-fisik, mental, dan spiritual. Saat mereka melangkah lebih dalam ke dalam kegelapan, Kairo mulai menemukan kekuatan yang tersembunyi di dalam dirinya, kekuatan yang tidak berasal dari dunia manusia ataupun neraka. Tapi kemenangan datang dengan harga. Bayang-bayang dari masa lalu Kairo dan aturan neraka terus mengejar mereka, dipimpin oleh Azareth, sosok yang lebih menakutkan daripada apa pun yang pernah mereka hadapi. Dengan waktu yang terus menipis, Kairo dan Nero harus bekerja sama, melawan bukan hanya neraka, tetapi juga takdir mereka sendiri. "Bayangan dan Neraka" adalah kisah tentang cinta, keberanian, dan pencarian diri di tengah kegelapan yang paling pekat. Sebuah perjalanan emosional yang membawa kita pada pertanyaan mendalam: seberapa jauh kau akan pergi untuk melindungi seseorang yang berarti bagi hidupmu?

Jace and Clary end up marrying. They have two children fifteen year old Skye and sixteen year old Damian. All is well until one person returns with a request of either the mortal instruments or Clary and her family. If he does not get what he wants he will destroy the world. This person is none other than Sebastian. Yes, he is back and thirsty for revenge. Of course the Clave does the only 'right' thing and offers up Clary and her family immediately. ~~~~~~~~~~ What happens to a person when the past creeps up on them? What happens when one person tries to save a whole race of people? Phil Lester can read what people are feeling. He can feel everything when he touches them. A simple bump on the shoulder can let him feel everything that person was feeling that day. Until, he meets Dan Howell. He feels nothing. It's different from the occasional sadness or pain Phil felt when he touched somebody. Dan felt nothing. And Phil is curious as to why.
