In the midst of winter, in a refugee camp, a young boy and an elderly woman look at each other before the young boy asks her a question.
"Grandmother, tell me, why must we believe in our faith?"
The grandmother replies, "Faith may seem insignificant in this world, but it is very precious in the worst moments. You must always believe in something, no matter if it is true or not."
"But that would be a lie, grandmother."
Whether it is a lie or not, the most important thing is the reason behind it. It allows us to hold on to our reason for survival. That is why you must believe in your own faith. Humanity does not exist without faith.
"What must I do to believe in my faith?"
"Create your own reality, whether it is true or not. It will always end up becoming a reality."
"I don't understand how that is possible."
"You will understand eventually, my little boy."
The old lady points her finger towards the dark, cloudy sky.
"The time will come for you when the skies open up to you and a higher being comes to you."
"Grandmother, please don't make me believe in your nonsensical words again. You need to sleep; we still have a long way to go before we reach our destination."
