It looked as though the world was ending. The satellite blew up due to an unknown cause, turning the world into a dark, crazed planet of panicked people. The people have gone mad. And if insane people roaming the Earth didn't set you off, then the rats did. Yes, rats. Rats with fleas, that carried diseases. It was the Black Death all over again, only worse, no power means no medical attention. Whole cities were wiped out within weeks of the plague, billions were dying, and not just from the plague. It was every man for himself. Meet Charlotte, just your average 16 year old girl, until 'The End' struck humanity. All she can think about is trying to keep her family together. But that idea is soon to be perished when all children are taken from their parents to be taken to a military camp to be protected from the disease. Now, It's up to her to keep her 6 year old brother, Lucas alive. But I'm the midst of this worldwide disaster, she happens to meet some new friends, oh, and the dreamy Jackson Lowe. But even the best of friends don't make the ongoing question in the back of your mind go away: How long until we're all gone?
