The war is over, and the Golden Trio is on the front page of every newspaper. The stories and pictures all show them to be a happy group, but little does the Wizarding World know, they all have secrets. Nothing is as it seems. Especially for Hermione Granger. The war had taken a toll on everyone, but Hermione had fallen into bad habits. The voices in her head got too loud at times, consuming her thoughts. No one seemed to notice. Even if they did, no one would care. Even though she was the brains of the Golden Trio, she never seemed to receive the credit she deserved. Was it because she was a Muggleborn? Was it because she was a woman? Hermione would never know. But she did know one thing: Because she had seemed so irrelevant to the cause compared to Harry and Ron, no one would believe her if she came clean about her recent pain and trauma. And Ron Weasley knew that.
Draco is a changed man. He no longer holds the blood prejudices he once did back in his Hogwarts days. Lucky for him, he got off easy after the war. He is now living in exile in Muggle London, sheltered from his past. Or at least that is, until he finds a severely splinched Hermione Granger nearly dead in a random alleyway one night, with bruises and cuts all over her body that Draco suspected couldn't have only been caused by a failed apparition. What was the Golden Girl hiding?
