I am a beginner writer, and I wrote this story revolving around a traditional ritual called Dyalama (it can have many names according to different sources). Dyalama refers to a ritual which involves the tying of ribbons whilst making a wish. This tradition originates in eastern Russia in Altai Republic (hopefully I used the correct term for the location.) Just a disclaimer that I did do light research on this tradition, I may have written some things inaccurately, but I tried to be as accurate as possible, even using trusted sources. This story isn't meant to be 100% aligned with the Altai region, as I wanted it to revolve more around Dyalama and the themes of wishing.

Group Plural Rule in all my books: I use the word guys when it is one girl in a group of boys or one guy in a group of girls. This is fair on the male gender. Also friends will use the words dear and sweetie as those are neutral gender nicknames. Sweetheart will be used with both sexes speaking to opposite genders especially if they happen upon a platonic friend of an opposite gender in a time of sorrow when one needs words of encouragement that offer genuine comfort. Sweetie, or sweethearts are gender neutral terms of general endearment as is darlings. This book has flashbacks to the famously underrated Mia and Me fairy show filmed live action sets in Florence Italy first season and some parts of Rome. It was perfect to introduce the flashbacks to Mia and Me Electra's version of the animated adventures because Winx Club, Rise of the Guardians and Mia & Me all have one thing in common they all mention unicorns. Bloom, the hero companion of Princess Stella, the protagonist who became the reason for the show to start had dreams about unicorns much like the little kid who Pitch scares at the beginning of the movie.
