An original work of mine! I decided to post it because I don't necessarily want everything to be about fanfiction (though I do have fun writing it.) The star gifted the human a crown of starlace, five-petaled silver flowers that only stars are capable of growing, able to heal major wounds as well as containing other powers. The star was stripped of their starlace growing powers and cast onto the earth, able to retain only their wings and minor healing abilities. Their human lover is the only one who knows that when you see a shooting star, it's a star being cast out. So when they see a shooting star and their love doesn't turn up, they worry...

Two young oceanographers are anxiously anticipating the next leg of a long expedition to secret man-made islands in Polynesia where laboratories and factories are preparing cutting edge technology to save the world. For now, they are recovering from a near-shipwreck off the shores of Antarctica. One is busy typing up descriptions of the mutant mollusk data collected in the aftermath. The other is planning to write about the first part of the long voyage.

I had to write an essay for Literature class and it ended up being 7 short chapters long. Young Z's life went well until one day, things got a bit strange. My writing is fairly horrible due to my tragic inability to give a damn.
